OTS recycles its 25 millionth tire
Toronto, Ontario — August 9, 2011 — The Ontario Tire Stewardship (OTS) has announced the recycling of the 25 millionth scrap tire in the province of Ontario since the program’s inception. This brings OTS even closer to their ultimate goal of recycling 100 per cent of all tires in Ontario, says the organization.

OARA seeks political endorsement ELV management system
Toronto, Ontario — August 8, 2011 — The Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association (OARA) is seeking endorsement of an industry led end-of-life vehicles environmental management system by Ontario's political parties. The system will ensure the safe and responsible environmental management of approximately 550,000 ELVs that require environmental decommissioning in Ontario each year.
