OARA seeks political endorsement ELV management system

Toronto, Ontario — August 8, 2011 — The Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association (OARA) is seeking endorsement of an industry led end-of-life vehicles environmental management system by Ontario's political parties.  The system will ensure the safe and responsible environmental management of approximately 550,000 ELVs that require environmental decommissioning in Ontario each year.

On Wednesday, August 10, OARA will host a media conference at Queen’s Park to explain the new and innovative ELV Environmental Management System developed by OARA in collaboration with the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers' Association (CVMA).  

Those participating in the media conference will be Steve Fletcher, executive director of  OARA, Mark Nantais, president of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers' Association, and Teresa Di Felice, director of government and community relations South Central Ontario, Canadian Automobile Association.

Canadian Auto Recyclers will be in attendance at the media conference will have all the latest news.
