Upstate Shredding company closes Watertown location

Toronto, Ontario — July 24, 2019 — Multi-million auto recycling company, Weitsman Recycling is closing their upstate facility in Watertown, New York.

Generating more than $750 million worth of sales per year, the company has 17 locations.

The Watertown-based facility employs only seven people, all who have been securely relocated to Solvay auto recycling, where retail customers have also been relocated to.

“The processing made it very, very difficult to operate,” said company owner Adam Weitsman.
