London, United Kingdom — February 12, 2014 — The Complete Auto Recycling and Secondary Materials trade show will take place June 5 to 6, 2014 at Motorhog Doncaster in the U.K.. CARS is organized by Environment Media Group, with deadline sponsors Fab Recycling, JCB and JMC Recycling Solutions.

CARS 2014 is Europe’s largest yard-based auto recycling event. Developed by industry experts working within the sector, this event is highly practical and geared solely towards the concerns, challenges and solutions of the professional automotive recycler.

The Automotive Recyclers of Canada is one of the industry associations supporting CARS. Ed MacDonald of Maritime Auto Parts is the current President of the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA). MacDonald will be in attendance to officially represent both ARA and ARC.

“We’re encouraging Canadian recyclers to attend the show and see equipment and technology for processing vehicles that is often ahead of the North American industry,” says Steve Fletcher, Managing Director of ARC. “I attended two years ago when it ran at the same time as the International Roundtable on Auto Recycling, and it’s an impressive event. It draws together auto recyclers from across Europe and internationally.”

The first edition of the show took place in June 2012 and attracted 76 exhibitors and more than 800 visitors from 20 countries. CARS 2014 is set to be even bigger and better.

The two-day event will be hosted at Motorhog, one of the United Kingdom’s leading salvage yards, with the packed program including:

  • Big machine demonstrations
  • A hard-hitting conference programme
  • Practical training in the Skills Lab
  • Exhibition stands, including an area outside showcasing machinery in action
  • Plus an informal social program including evening entertainment and a gala dinner.
