Toronto, Ontario — Lace up those big clunky nurse shoes and get ready for some walking—conference season for the Canadian automotive recycling industry is officially upon us.
First up on the schedule is the Alberta Automotive Recyclers and Dismantlers Association’s 2022 convention and AGM, set to kick off on Sept. 16 in Red Deer, Alta., until the seventeenth. The theme of this year’s conference is “Change – Beneficial or Detrimental.”

Next up, recyclers will head down south for the 79th annual Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) Convention and Expo, set for Sept. 22 to 24 in Orlando. Fla. The theme of this year’s convention is “Agents of Change.”
Attendees will be treated to three days of auto recycling programming in the most magical place on earth, as this year’s convention will take over the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort. Rest assured, ARA is offering guests of the convention discounted tickets to the world famous theme park while they are in town.

Our eastern acquaintances will be hosting their own recycler’s kitchen party of sorts, as the Automotive Recyclers Association of Atlantic Canada (ARAAC) prepares for its annual convention, running from Sept. 30 to Oct. 1 in Truro, N.S.
This year’s convention will open with a meeting of ARAAC’s board of directors, and will be followed by a Saturday full of seminars, networking opportunities and presentations on the industry’s latest trends.

Recyclers from Saskatchewan will be gathering in Regina this October for the return of the Saskatchewan Auto Recyclers Association (SARA) 2022 AGM. A definitive date for the event has yet to be announced, though organizers currently have narrowed the options down to either Oct. 15 or Oct. 22; both of which are Saturdays.
What is known is that the association has Regina’s Four Points by Sheraton secured for either of the dates. To register for SARA’s 2022 AGM, email mymorrison@sgi.sk.ca.
Finally, northeastern recyclers are being called down to Verona, N.Y. in November for the Auto Recyclers Northeast Education (ARNE) Summit and Expo 2022, hosted by the Automotive Recyclers Association of New York (ARANY).
The event, running from Nov. 10 to 12, will feature an open house tour of Tolpa’s Auto Parts in nearby Remsen, N.Y., as well as two more full days of industry networking and idea-sharing.
Apart from the open house portion of the event, this year’s summit will be held at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino. Shuttle services are being offered to Canadian and other northeastern recyclers who are hoping to attend the event in Verona.
