Sask. recyclers set date to offially form provincial association

Regina, Saskatchewan — June 6, 2011 — As previously reported auto recyclers in Saskatchewan are forming their own provincial organization in order to have a united voice in the industry. A date of June 23 has been set for an organizational meeting of the Saskatchewan Auto Recyclers Association (SARA).

  

The meeting is being held at the Hotel & Conference Centre in Regina. Perspective members will discuss SARA’s mission and purpose. As well, attendees will review the proposed membership requirements, such as an environmental audit and fee, and cast their votes to officially form the association and elect a board of directors.

Steve Fletcher of ARC will give a presentation on new organization’s place in the national framework.

Saskatchewan recyclers who have not yet registered for the meeting are asked to fax Cheryl Hoimyer, Interim Chairperson, at 306-721-6575 or phone 306-751-1787 by June 17.
