May 16, 2011 —Executive director of OARA and managing director of ARC, Steve Fletcher, is heading to the US to highlight the great things Canadian auto recyclers are doing for their businesses and for the environment.
Fletcher will be in Interlochen, MI on May 21 to speak at the third annual Automotive Recyclers of Michigan (ARM) 2011 Road Show and Business Networking Conference. The event will be held at East Bay Auto Parts on May 20-21.
At the ARM Road Show, Fletcher will speak about why Canada’s Retire-Your-Ride program was arguably more successful than its American counterpart, Cash-4-Clunkers. He will also share his insights from the International Roundtable on Auto Recycling and talk about Canadian auto recyclers’ successful partnerships with government and automotive manufacturers. Fletcher’s presentation is titled “International Picture of Recycling.”
As well, on Sept. 10 Fletcher will be in Napa Valley, CA to speak at the State of California Auto Dismantlers Association (SCADA) Convention. SCADA says Fletcher’s presentation, titled “Canada’s Auto Recycler Engagement Strategy,” is “not about what ARC has done, but about what all recyclers at the local, regional, national, and international level can achieve.”
The SCADA Convention will be held at the Silverado Resort in Napa Valley, CA from Sep. 8-10.
