November 22, 2018 — Car-Part’s Roger and Jeff Schroder were honoured by the Auto Recyclers Association during the group’s 75 anniversary convention in Orlando, Florida.
Given to an individual each year who has distinguished his or herself among the ARA membership, the ARA Board were unanimous in their decision to select Roger Schroder as the 2018 recipient of the member of the year award.
“The respect he gets from his peers as being a genuine good person and advocate for auto recyclers is remarkable. Whether you are those who benefit from his insight and participation or one of his friendly rivals of his who work in the same space, you can’t help but like him,” ARA president David Gold said of his decision during the award ceremony at this year’s ARA annual conference in Orlando, Florida.
Gold also noted that other board members had described Roger Schroder as being always willing to assist the ARA and an active participant in the association’s events.
Roger’s brother, Car-Part president and CEO Jeff Schroder was awarded the ARA’s President’s Award, given to a member whose distinguishes themself in their service to the ARA.
“As a recycler, I feel very fortunate [Jeff Schroder] has embraced our industry and expects to see the recycled parts market place flourish. His employees love working at his company, he is truly admired by his customers and stakeholders alike. We all utilize and need their innovative products and services. And as far as I am concerned, there is no brighter light in our industry.
The Schroders’ company was also a recent recipient of the CIECA E-Commerce Company of the Year Award.
