ARAAC holds successful, festive annual meeting

Global metal recycling rates ‘discouragingly low,’ says UN study
London, England — June 8, 2011 — The United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) recently released a report calling for greater levels of metal recycling around the world. The UNEP says the report is the first attempt to gather accurate and consistent information on the extent to which metals are collected, processed, and reused globally.
Sask. recyclers set date to offially form provincial association
Regina, Saskatchewan — June 6, 2011 — As previously reported auto recyclers in Saskatchewan are forming their own provincial organization in order to have a united voice in the industry. A date of June 23 has been set for an organizational meeting of the Saskatchewan Auto Recyclers Association (SARA).
