Toronto, Ontario — The Automotive Recyclers Association is hosting its 82nd Annual Convention & Expo in Birmingham, Alabama on October 15 to 18, 2025.
This flagship event aims to be the industry’s premier gathering for North American recyclers, vendors and thought leaders, offering policy updates, product showcases, educational programming and networking opportunities. The 2025 agenda includes the return of Tech Talks and nearly 50 expert-led sessions covering topics such as electric vehicle battery handling, cybersecurity, parts preparation and process standardization. The Expo Hall will feature around 80 vendors showcasing the latest tools, equipment and software for optimizing recycling operations.
Networking remains central to the event, with daily gatherings — including informal prayer sessions — an international networking reception, a wine and cheese social and a themed networking and awards dinner. The event concludes with a relaxed afterglow party.
“The valuable insights from peers and the relationships built at ARA conventions are priceless,” said ARA executive director Sandy Blalock. “Attendees have told us that they get a lot out of the educational sessions, but the biggest assets … are the long‑term relationships built and the invaluable insight shared between industry colleagues.”
