London, Ontario — The Canadian Repair Convention’s “Shape the Future of the Right to Repair in Canada” event has revealed its programming, which includes a talk from Derek Nissen of Hank’s Auto Wreckers.
The Canadian Repair Convention will take place on October 25, 2024, at the Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre in London, Ont.
According to a description of the event, “the inaugural Canadian Repair Convention unites academics, grassroots repairers, policymakers, and the public to explore the multifaceted dimensions of the Right to Repair movement in Canada. Across four dynamic panels with both hands-on and policy-level perspectives, attendees to the Convention will engage with the Right to Repair along the ecological, economic, and social inclusivity dimensions.”
Alongside discussions on reducing Canada’s environmental footprint, Derek Nissen will further deliver a talk on automotive recycling in Canada and the right-to-repair.
