While many of their counterparts in the industry are spending their time looking at their feet in the face of supply chain challenges, Lacero Solutions has its gaze fixed squarely on the future following a slow start to the year.
“Like with every other company out there, 2021 did not start out well. It was a challenging year and the pandemic is still lingering,” said Karan Raina, Lacero’s commercial development manager.
He says he is grateful to the company’s loyal clients who helped keep the wheels turning by keeping Lacero’s facility adequately stocked. As the year improved and the recall campaigns began achieving higher completion rates, we saw a higher throughput of airbags and seat belt tensioners coming in,” said Raina.
“Additionally, we were able to diversify into new sets of clients; and they started to send airbags towards the second half of the year and we were able to actually finish the year on a very strong note. Raina says the company has big plans for next year, namely, a trip down south to evaluate foreign markets and diversify its automotive waste handling portfolio.
“We are planning a foray into the U.S. market, so that’s one of the big things on our to-do list. “We have a very established presence in Canada, so the next logical step is to assess the U.S. market and see how feasible it is to take a jump into that part of the world. That is number one on the list of priorities.”
With these plans for growth in the work, Raina says it is more important than ever to keep Lacero’s core values in sight, as the company ventures into new territory.
“We always want to improve our operations and be more efficient and more sustainable,” said Raina.
