Under the leadership of President and CEO Brian Collins, Commercial Forms Recycler Supply has been in operation since 1988, filling the needs for a single supply source in consumable goods for the automotive recycling industry.

Working closely with AutoInfo and Hollander from its inception, Commercial Forms entered the industry as a specialized forms and tags company. It worked at building relationships with the software vendors that helped computerize the industry and, from there, Commercial Forms has evolved into a centralized source for industry-specific consumable supplies. The company continues to evolve and meet the ever-evolving needs of auto recyclers, all while staying true to its business model of, “supplies made simple.”

In the beginning the business was made up of mostly forms, tags and computer related supplies. Working with their clients to solve their needs, the company began to add more products to its offering. Today, Commercial Forms Recycler Supply serves the automotive recycling industry and other automotive-related industries with not only forms and tags, but consumable supply items such as caplugs, paint markers, heat tabs, saw blades, shipping, safety supplies and more.

Despite the hardships spurred by the unprecedented events of the 2020s, Commercial Forms has powered through to continue to provide its clientele with the same products and services it has always offered with its goal of same-day processing and shipment.

In comparison to 2020, Collins said 2021 was a year of “focus” for the company; maintaining its promises to business partners, growing its operations and adding to its workforce. “That’s an integral part of our culture, that we ship same-day,” said Collins. “Has that been a challenge? Of course, but we have extremely reliable manufacturers.”

Collins also said, facing the supply chain struggles of today, Commercial Forms has a roster of dependable manufacturers—sometimes more than one per product to ensure there’s enough supply to meet auto recycler needs.

“We have three domestic manufacturers for a particular zip-tie,” Collins told Canadian Auto Recyclers. “Well, one was completely sold out, and the other two only had a limited supply. Having that redundancy in suppliers has really helped us stay on track amid supply shortages. “The areas where we didn’t already have redundancy in suppliers, we’ve gathered sources to meet those needs.”

As the company faces 2022, Collins said it’s ready to grow. “We just hired two new people,” he said. “One of those is in a brandnew position in our warehouse shipping area, too. “We’re raring to go for a great year,” he said.
