| LKQ Corporation Acquires Ontario Auto Recycling Operations |

CHICAGO IL -- December 2 2008 -- LKQ Corporation (Nasdaq:LKQX) today announced it has purchased two automotive recycling businesses in Ontario. LKQ acquired C.A. Shaw Inc. with operations in London Ont. under the name “Shaw Auto Recyclers.” LKQ also purchased Headline Auto Parts with operations in Cornwall Ont. The trailing twelve month revenue on a combined basis is less than CDN $10 million. “The acquisitions of Shaw Auto Recyclers and Headline Auto Parts will improve our distribution of recycled automotive collision parts throughout Ontario” commented Benjy Katz Plant Manager of LKQ Dominion Auto Recycling Inc. “In addition to servicing the collision shops in the London and Cornwall areas we will be able to provide recycled OEM parts to the collision repair markets in Windsor and Ottawa.” |

Milwaukee, Wisconsin -- September 1, 2011 -- Johnson Controls has announced plans to invest more than $70 million in its automotive battery recycling centre in Cienega de Flores, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The investment will fund the replacement of the Cienega facility's existing rotary furnaces with larger, more efficient rotary furnaces as well as the addition of proven state-of-the-art environmental control technologies, according to the company.
